Client Services Intake Specialist (part-time)

 

Location: Indianapolis/Marion County

Terms: Hourly, Part-Time (up to 20 hours per week)

Pay: $19/hr

 

About Us: 

NeighborLink Indianapolis (NLI) is a nonprofit organization in Indianapolis providing home repairs to low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities who own their own home. 

 

Position Description:

This role visits homeowners and walks them through an online form for vetting purposes. This process helps determine eligibility for the homeowner and for their project to be accepted for NeighborLink Indianapolis’ free home repairs. Through an interview-like conversation, the intake specialist will fill out the necessary vetting form, gather the documentation necessary, and when able, photograph the home repair need(s). Data entry, photographing documents to upload into our database, and calling homeowners to schedule a vetting time are all elements of this role.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect necessary documentation from homeowners with home repair requests

  • Walk homeowners through in-person vetting process

  • Document project request through photos when able

  • Enter data into database, upload files into database

  • Support the phone intake team as needed with fill-in phone call days

Requirements: 

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Good Communication skills

  • Comfort with using a laptop or tablet

  • Good typing skills

  • Reliable phone

  • Reliable transportation
